The sun stood still

On Winter Solstice the sun stood still as if to say:

“Let’s take this slow,

let’s be in the pause,

let’s be in the space

between one cycle’s end

and the next cycle’s beginning.”

Now watch how the same cosmic patterns

are alive in you, like the natural pause

at the bottom of the exhalation.

Winter solstice is the space that gives

to the next brightening cycle,

the next breath in.
